Chapter 13
A Complete Overview
Confirmation of Plan

At the conclusion of the 341 meeting, if the Trustee is satisfied that all of the debtor’s income and assets are listed on the bankruptcy petition, and provided that there are no outstanding objections by creditors, and that the petition complies with all other provisions of Title 11, the Trustee will recommend confirmation of the Chapter 13 plan.

The Trustee recommends confirmation of the Chapter 13 plan, it is the United States Bankruptcy Court which approves the bankruptcy plan.

Should the Court accept the Trustee’s recommendation and the plan is confirmed, a standard confirmation order will be entered by the Court.

A sample of the standard order confirming plan is available. All Chapter 13 petitioners who have their plans approved by the United States Bankruptcy Court located in Akron, Ohio are required to abide by the rules and directives in the order confirming plan.
